What can affect the timing?
Ecctis needs your awarding institution to verify your qualification, so a faster outcome cannot be guaranteed. Public holidays and institution closures are not accounted for in the target timeframe.
You may be asked by email to contact your institution. If more information or documents are needed, processing may take longer and the 2–3-month period restarts.

If verification does not arrive within the timeframe, the result will be “Unable to verify”. Refunds are unavailable once the application review has started.

Register on the official Ecctis application portal.
Verify your identity
Complete the identity verification check.
Pay and submit
Complete payment and submit your fully completed application.
After you apply
Follow progress in the portal’s order status section. The review target is 2–3 months; this restarts if additional documents or information are requested.
If successful, a code will be available in your portal to share with the Home Office as part of your visa application.
